Looking for a way to get involved with RPS? Join our CCIAC group. We need a diverse group of parents, community members, business leaders, and students to share their voices about the education of all Rochester Public Schools learners. The role of the CCIAC is to provide input and feedback on curriculum, instruction, and learning across RPS schools.

RPS is canceling school tomorrow, Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in anticipation of the blizzard warning issued by the National Weather Service.
Here’s what this means:
➡️ This is a complete District building closure due to the anticipated severity of the storm. We will not be clearing parking lots until the storm has passed.
➡️ High school MCA testing is rescheduled for next week. Families will receive further communication from their respective schools about the rescheduled date.
➡️ School Age Child Care (SACC) will be closed.
➡️ All PAIIR, Preschool Age Child Care (PACC), Preschool, and Community Education daytime and evening classes for early childhood, youth, adults, and adults with exceptional abilities are canceled.
➡️ Hawthorne Education Center is closed.
➡️ All community building rentals are canceled.
➡️ All Professional Growth Academy classes are canceled.
➡️ All after-school activities and athletics are canceled.
Century was one of only two schools in the state to have two mock trial teams go undefeated into their respective region finals. Century's only loss this year was to the eventual state champions, Apple Valley. Because of the tremendous dedication of our student captains and team members, Century had a banner year as one of the top teams in the state. Way to go Century Litigators!

Congratulations to our community for raising $8.802 for Special Olympics at our 3rd annual Polar Plunge!
Congratulations to the Century Math League team who placed 3rd at the state competition on Monday. They advanced after becoming Big 9 and Section 1AAA champions for the season. They also place 5th in the state for the season. Great work Math League!

On Thursday, April 10th, Rochester's Poet Laureate (and Century English teacher), Ms. Prokott will be reading poetry with a couple of CHS students at Rochester Public Library, sponsored by the MN Minnesota Humanities Center! After two days and 7 rounds of challenging chess, the Century Varsity Chess team attained 19.5 points! This was good for a three-way first-place tie, the first ever in the 60 + years of the tournament.

On behalf of Century High School Muslim Student Association (MSA) in collaboration with Mayo, John Marshall and Rochester Math and Science Academy would like to invite you to our Fifth Annual Iftar Night on Sunday, March 16th, 2025 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM in the Mayo High School Cafeteria.
Iftar is the meal that Muslims eat at sunset to break their fast throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Iftar comes with a sense of community belonging where people share and learn from one another after a long day of fasting by eating a small meal together.

The Century Chess Team was one of 3 teams who placed first in the 2025 Minnesota State Association K - 12 Scholastic Tournament High School division. Also Joshua Wang placed 2nd individually in the under 1300 rated group while Johan Myburgh placed first. Calder Nguyen placed 11th overall.
On March 13th in an extended 7th hour, 100+ brave panthers will be taking the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics.
